Ensuring that all individuals are physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy
United Way of Northern Arizona has two main goals for its HEALTH initiatives: To educate community members about the importance of good health and about basic health and human services.
Goal 1: Living healthy — Community members are healthy, safe, and learning how to maintain their health.
| What will change? | More children are born with a healthy birth weight. |
| More community members receive timely, regular, preventative health care. | |
| How will we create change? | Increase the percentage of women who receive prenatal care in first trimester. |
| Increase the percentage of community members with insurance coverage. | |
| Increase the percentage of community members who understand the benefits of preventative health and use preventative health services. |
Goal 2: Addressing basic health and human services — Community members who experience crisis and financial hardship regain — and maintain — good health and financial stability.
| What will change? | More community members are self-sufficient (income). |
| More community members use immediate services (income, health). | |
| Community members plan for their personal safety planning (income, health). | |
| Community members develop better coping skills (health). |
